Seems to have made a good start in the National League play off quarter finals. Oldham 2 up inside 10 minutes:

Presumably saving him for the York game.

I went to the game just got home … one of my work mates got me a ticket after watching barno all season I thought why not need to see a game with something to play for live.

tell you what atmosphere, was bouncing similar to Wrexham home fans with the drum. Very loud and throughout the 90 all stadium join in.

Vimal was very good but got booked for a dive that wasn’t a dive so that’s why he got brought off as he loves a tackle to avoid being sent off …setup a goal was class.

    very impressed

Been reading reviews on him from Oldham fans apparently had a great game and took off so he didn't get sent off and miss the next game. Some say they hope they can loan him again next season.

Hopefully he'll be in and around our squad. But if the powers that be at Oakwell decide another loan would be optimal for his development, I'm also fine with that.

If so, maybe to a League 2 club for the first half of the season, with a view to integrating him into our first team from January onwards.

Heard a few reports about how well Yoganathan has been doing at Oldham.
A spell of proper men's football will have done him a world of good. The National League is a decent standard these days too.
A lot depends on comings and goings this summer but he could have a part to play next season.

So many of our sold and loan players do well away from us.
    Why?
Have we been so poor at recognising a player's talent that they only show elsewhere.
Or is it due to influence from the top that interferes with our playing system.

Im not convinced that our coaches have been able to coach our players to be better. Look at how many of our first team squad seem to have gone backwards performance wise.

Or alternatively, maybe the glass half full approach, we are good at identifying young talent who we believe will have a high ceiling and can go on to great things.

Young players going away and getting regular football can only be a good thing for us surely? Shepherd, Yoganathan and possibly Lopata could all come back from their loan spells better players than what they were when we sent them out.

I would have thought it's the opposite.. The club really needs the academy to succeed, so if anything it's the club hierarchy that would push the young players towards the first team , hoping they catch everyones eye.
It will be the head coach of the time who's job depends on results that is unwilling to put them in. Planning for the future is all well and good, but results are needed in the present.
