Seemingly past its shelf life now. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...r-revamp-plus-transfer-window-message-5128382
Looking forward to an interesting Summer of arrivals. Would like to see certain players stay such as DKD and I think Humphries has latterly shown that in that ‘wider’ role with a good pre-season behind could make a big an impact.
Blah Blah Blah, we've heard all this bull before.Get your finger out ,I expect four players in that first stint, nothing less then another four or five in the second stint.Ready and in place for a full pre season NO FANNYING AROUND!
So last year's 'significant' budget, which didn't seem to be that significant, is now 'reasonable'. How reasonable will reasonable be, do we think?
Yep nothing but Blah Blah Blah. Clarke was criticised for pointing out the deficiencies in our squad last October/November, but got sacked for under achieving. Mladen is clearly a very good talker but strikes me as a bloke that is making it up as he goes along and deflects from his incompetence by giving us a new head coach every season.
It was out of date and rancid when the DoF put it together. That's what you get when you skip / bin dip at the football equivalent of Aldi for your signings.
Anyone know why the transfer window closes for 6 days??? Opens 1st June to 10th then closes for 6 days until 16th
Any signing for a fee will be dependant on outgoing players I'd say. Reckon most of our business will be frees and loans. CH has already hinted about good players being out of contract.
The six-day break is due to an additional FIFA Club World Cup registration period ahead of the start of the 32-team tournament which runs from 15 June-13 July in the United States. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c2kqx3724zdo#:~:text=After a delay while EFL,September (19:00). Essentially the first mini window is for prem clubs to use. It's to allow those in this club world cup thing a chance to sign some players early for use in that competition. Normal window is from 16th onwards
Apparently FIFA rules state that it can be open a maximum of 89 days, and has been opened earlier this year so that teams in the club world cup can register new players before the tournament. https://www.efl.com/news/2025/may/14/summer-transfer-window-dates-/
The Efl. Changed the date so that early signings can be made. But the period of the window is the same number of days. As in the rules. Edit. Baldriks link explains it all.
You have to hand it to Mladen Sormaz, he's the biggest bull shitter going and yet Neerav and co keep falling for it. He realises that one more failed transfer window totally on his watch and he's a gonner, but he's now giving the HC a lot more say in recruitment. If things do go tits up again then he'll be pleading with Neerav that it was the HC's decision to sign these players with little input from him. The guy is an absolute chancer who should have been out of a job after the January transfer window debacle.
Bizzare that two managers were sacked for failing to get the players to play with high tempo, pressing style and now we are saying the new guy needs new players to implement this. Why did we sign players incapable of playing the kind of football we wanted? Why did managers pay the price for this? as for the budget, as others have pointed out, we were told last summer we would have a significant budget so I’m not holding my breath
My concern is who says he will be a gonner after another poor window. That's upto the board who seem to be happy with sormaz.. Personally sormaz should have been sacked months ago
Must have something on Neerav and the Crynes. Baffling how the bloke is still in a job. The fact that he is will definitely cost the club money in lost season ticket revenue.
To be fair, we spent a million on Dkd & Gent. Didnt we buy Nwakali too? Then wages for them all including a hefty one and a signing on fee for Humphrys. Id say it was relatively significant for us in the third tier.
Every interview I see from Sormaz encourages me more and more that I’ve made the right decision to not renew.
