Been a terrible game. Just rams home how poor this division is and how far we have been off it to have missed out to two cloggers like these.

 

Just thought same myself. The difference in quality of teams in playoffs is massive compared to the Duff season a couple of years ago.

Absolutely ******* woeful game. If moron Mladen hadn't made such a ******* mess of January then we could have pushed on for the top 6.

 

Wycombe absolutely getting what they deserve after trying to play for pens since the first min of the first game. Charlton been absolutely ***** also just improved by a fluke of a goal from some soft goalkeeping.

 

What was the goalie doing for that goal ?
Is it the same one that got Cosgroved

Bit over the top from ferret face Nathan Jones at the end , can’t stand the Welsh ****** .

Remember after winning 3 games in a row again, and our Play off hopes were still possible at the time.
But Ive heard we were just awful that night at Charlton. Whether Clarke had said some unpopular words again to the players, it sounds like we went there and just didn't seem to be bothered.
And they only scraped it 1-0, against a team who clearly weren't trying.
Seeing this terrible Play off show against Wycombe, is just another annoying reminder of what we've failed to capitalise on this season.

On a serious note, a lot of people didn't fancy Charlton for playoffs at start of season. I had them, us, Huddersfield and Bolton for playoffs. How wrong was I!

 

Worse two legs of football to have taken place. Nathan Jones near the end as well, cringiest couple of minutes I’ve seen.

In fairness to Charlton, they’ll push top half next season in the Champ. Have the foundations of a decent side, recruitment looks good and have a good manager. They’ll beat Orient in the final.

 

Can't be letting people forget .

I never had us down for the play offs. I didn't fancy Bolton either, just thought they'd have a hangover after their play off final loss to Oxford. I fancied Huddersfield to go well, to be be fair I think they'd have picked up again and made the top 6 had they not sacked Duff. Charlton made a shrewd appointment in Jones and we're going to be there or thereabouts.

 

Yep agree on both points. Jones knew the cameras were on him what a prat, someone needs to tell him you've won nowt yet lad.

 

I remember calling for him during one of our recent sackings (there’s been so many it’s hard to keep up) and there was a lot shot it down.

He’s clearly a decent manager/coach. But yes he also does seem like a massive nob.

In terms of the final, I don’t think I’m that bothered about who goes up.

 

Hope Charlton go up. I don’t particularly like them, but we don’t do well there.

If that is the case, would be interesting to see how the summer treats Wycombe, Orient & Stockport, as all have players that will have caught the eye.
