    It’s Miss Marple.

Sorry, just thought it was rather fitting.

I just did a reverse image search on the signature which found the same signature with a white background. I then did a reverse image search on that and it gave me the site I posted here.

Not quite as exciting as I'd hoped. In my head there was a multimeter involved

As always @Brian Mahoneys Waist , put it into perspective. You always do. You are a voice of reason on here and I commend you.
Question. How can we give everyone a kick up the arse between now and August 2nd and build up some momentum and positivity for next season?

Club could always ask fans for their opinions and suggestions on things instead of letting a few independent fans make a survey instead. Just a thought.

That’s hilarious. Genuinely prefer having some random signature on from an obscure z list celebrity. At least it’s something unexpected

Its not just about the signings though is it. The matchday experience at Oakwell has plummeted over the last 3/4 years. From the car park issues to the food and drink, its just not good enough for a club wanting fans to spend their money.

In fairness, there was a good year or so where things stood still on such a front owing to negotiations with the council on the stadium sale etc. Not excusing last season, as it seemingly dropped off a cliff, but the club did suggest as much ahead of it, saying all money would go on the first team. And yes, the result wasn't great.

They've talked of a new fanzone, hinted at other things in the pipeline plus the rail seating was finally installed. So maybe we'll see some improvements over the next 12 months. They could stop piping that Country Road crap into the PA system pre-match for starters. Listen to your audience.

    Awful innit?

There’ll always be errors though, because we are talking about human beings. On here, most people see all BFC related content, and so of course, any mistake will be picked up on. And then folk suggest they’re unprofessional, poor at the job, they don’t care about the club etc. It’s a bit harsh. But probably no worse than me saying Cosgrove was crap.

But bigger businesses, bigger football clubs make mistakes quite often too. You just aren’t looking at them like you are at BFC. Prime example being Sheff Utd yesterday. With 2FA (two factor authentication) switched on (on socials), there’s no way that ‘hacking’ happens. So that’s a huge f*** up on the part of their comms team.
Couple of days ago, Sky Sports put something out with horrendous grammar. I’ve seen the BBC do similar.

The more staff you have looking after your platform/channels, the less likely you are to make errors. Much easier for one body to look after one channel for instance. If someone’s trying oversee every channel it leads to mistakes. I know I made some myself. A few years ago we were locked out of twitter for hours because of a copyright strike. It was the day of our FA Cup game vs Chelsea. All eyes on us. Very stressful it was. Turns out it was a copyright strike from 2015 that had been flagged six years later, bizarrely. So not any of our faults per se. But try explaining that to folk at the time. Luckily we knew someone who knew someone who knew someone at twitter (pre-Musk) and got it back up before kick off.

A very long-winded way to say that folk will make mistakes and it’s up to them to learn from them, and those above them to understand why. Or summat. And maybe to be kinder? I dunno. I’m soft in my old age. :D

I get all that mate and I'm as forgiving as anyone. But it is a corker, (when i saw the article last friday in the chron. I thought thats a wierd signing not even a scribble. not just a slip of wording or dates but As in the words of the uk Euro song. " What the hell just happened." :) )
I reckon whoever did it got bored and was reading an article about the signatory forgot himself. copied and pasted his signature and hey presto lol.

I’ve no idea how it’s happened.

Each summer, I’d arrange the team photo day, where the head shots of all the squads were taken. And on that day, each player was given a piece of A4 paper with a pen, and were told to write their full name in capital letters and their signature below. The first, so our photographer knew who each player was (we did the 21s and 18s too) when he edited the photos which he’d send to us in named folders post-shoot. And second, so I had each signature so I could create a digital version for potential use across the season. A literal 20 second job with Adobe.

So yeah. Very baffled by it.

Simple things done well. The problem is that they're doing simple things absolutely terribly. And it annoys people as it's, as has been said, simple stuff.

I agree, if it were every now and again. But it's not. It's all the time, gaffe after gaffe.

And if I'm honest, to quote my Dad, I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed haha!

It just starts wearing thin. It gives off the impression that they don't care.
