I confess I’m a bit torn on this one. I was disappointed we let him go out but on balance it probably was the right thing to do. I would deffo have him in the first team pool for this coming season though
If he had stayed he'd have been on bench 90% of time mate. Much better him getting experience with proper football for next season. Our season has been dead for months but Conor needed to make sure he got the job, so he was never going to put every youngster with potential in imo
The few games that he played for us last season showed that he's got something about him, we need to show some belief in him next season and let him flourish.
Yes the lad has done good, but I thought he was doing a decent job with us and quite honestly I thought he had more than some regular first teamers
I agree but this loan has brought him on ten fold … Hes main man at Oldham fans love him he just attacks every game … if he came on for us it wouldnt be like that at all .. if he didn’t go Oldham they wouldn’t have got in playoffs or a chance of going up … that speaks volumes for the lad. I’ve seen him up close at Halifax game other night runs at everyone .. gets ball and attacks .. sorry but our Barnsley players pass buck … he don’t … let’s just see how he gets on. Only barno can ruin a player and sack him off though … if he in squad next season we need to get behind him Not moan and wine. Needs support.
But I always thought that is what our board wanted, attack, run at players, high press etc, it was Clarke that didn't enforce it in my opinion
I'm listening on BBC York. Sometimes these BBC audio links work, and sometimes they're blocked over here. I've tried my McAfee VPN, but it only seems to work sometimes to let the link work.
Essentially what happened was. The York keeper rolled it out to defender on edge of box, Vimal closed him down, and it ricochet to the left straight to garner, who smashed it into bottom corner. Quick thinking at least
Strictly speaking id claim it too lol. Must have some energy, cos he seems to be operating as a complete box to box player. Up and down the entire pitch. One minute in defence, next minute up front. Not entirely had much of the ball, but he's everywhere
Yoganathan, again, with a goal this time. I'm looking forward to seeing him in a Barnsley shirt next season.
