Always pleased to see Wimbledon do well, though. Good for them, getting promoted to a league above that other team.
Absolute shocker of a game. Zero quality on offer. Walsall fans must detest Stoke City. All but promoted at Christmas before Stoke took Nathan Lowe back and then barely played him. Bizarre decision that has cost Walsall big time.
Definitely be a better day out for Wimbledon than Walsall, also got connections with them so I’m happy
Why should they detest Stoke City? He wasn't their player and is it not a team game? Sorry, but they don't deserve to go up if they're so reliant on one individual player. For me it just shows how poor the rest of their team is.
Providing it's a weekend mate. It'll be 4th stadium I'll have seen us play em on. (Inc. Old plough lane)
If he’d been allowed to stay I’m pretty certain they’d have made the top 3 if not won the league. He was scoring for fun. I’m sure if it was us we wouldn’t feel too chuffed?
To be fair, wasn’t it the knock on impact from Leicester recalling (and then selling) Tom Cannon from Stoke? Assume they recalled him to fill that void but then he didn’t really do it for them. Maybe we should ask for loan next season to see if he can step up to league 1? Preferably remove the recall clause though….
Stop judging teams on their play off final performances. They are pretty much always tight and cagey games where neither team plays particularly well.
