We visit Andorra tomorrow, and to be honest these fixtures are more of a nuisance than anything.
Croatia for example, have won 0-7 away at Gibraltar tonight. And its not enjoyable anymore when matches are so one sided and dominated, like that.

YMA O HYD - We (the Welsh) are still here

    As a response to Thatcherism

During the 1984-85 miners' strike, Iwan would sing "Yma o Hyd" on the picket lines on numerous occasions, as well as performing it for quarry workers and farmers. Iwan stated that "the effects of Thatcherism were so blatant, so far-reaching. And Welshness was in turmoil. "Yma o Hyd" was a deliberate antidote to that".[4]

It has been suggested that the song played a "not insignificant" role in raising the morale of Welsh nationalists during Margaret Thatcher's 1980s tenure as Prime Minister of the UK.[5] The original version of the song refers to Thatcher, "Er gwaetha hen Fagi a'i chriw" ('Despite old Maggie and her crew').[13] Following Thatcher's ordered closure of Welsh and other British mines, fewer than 40% of Welsh households were headed by someone in full-time employment by 1986 and "two-thirds of Welsh miners would become redundant".[13][14]

    Impact on education and language
    [edit]
The song also inspired a resurgence of support for Welsh medium education and (amongst other factors) contributed to the delivery of the Education Reform Act 1988. The song also contributed to support for the Welsh language, namely the Welsh Language Act 1993, which placed Welsh on equal footing with English in Wales for the first time in British history.[5]

Tbf Italy haven't had a great squad for years now mate. We should have a euros. They have a good spine though. Barella, Bastoni, Donnarumma, etc, and some decent players elsewhere, but other than 4/5 really excellent players, they're nothing special

Yeah maybe, but annoyingly though, they are still a team to beat.
Because even when allegedly not being at their best, they do have a winning habit and mentality.
We/England though, still don't have that, not when it matters the most!.

Also, what on earth is the point in all these pointless Intl friendlies this week ?.
Weren't we meant to have done away with these, or at least kept them down to a minimum.
The Scotchies for example, have got two friendlies, against some real top quality opposition.

Aye mate. Dont get why friendlies are still played with nations league . Although to be fair perhaps Scotland aren't in the groups after being relegated? I genuinely have no idea how it works.

And yes, Italy, a bit like real madrid most seasons, usually play worse than opposition in big games but somehow gets the job done !

I remember in season '90, we arranged a friendly against Cameroon at Wembley, in Feb!.
It was freezing cold though, and they didn't enjoy it at all lol. Because they aren't used to those cold conditions.
And it was so much different to seven months before, when we beat them in the Italian World cup. :)
