When people have asked.. "what are they actually doing here" I think here maybe your answer. Maybe we are seen as a way in to the UK market to sell their fashion gear. One thing is for sure they're not here to prop up a mid sized former industrial towns football team in northern England. You may not like FIFA (who does), or JAQ ( I do), but what she states is correct. Whilst known worldwide, the NFL, NBA and MLB are USA-centric, whereas FIFA is truly global.

Thats not what she's saying though. She's holding up FIFA as being globally respected as a symbol of 'hope, passion and commitment' when the reality is they're universally hated because to pretty much everyone they mean greed and corruption. When you think of FIFA you think of bribery and the World Cup being sold to the highest bidder. Whereas as brands, NBA, MLB and NFL are seen as cool. She literally could not be further off from the zeitgeist. And thats why i think they might struggle to sell much clobber. Who wants to be associated with FIFA?
