Name me one player that has now retired that you miss watching. For me, Frank Lampard. Notable mention for both Kaka & Ronaldinho though!
Outside of Barnsley - Ronaldinho. Absolutely magical to watch. Edit - I also loved watching Nakamura & Cambiasso, mind.
Maybe unpopular, but Id say Christiano Ronaldo. Ohh no hang on, I forgot, he's still playing at 40 isn't he lol. Thats unbelievable Jeff!!. And as an England fan, I'm glad to see mentions for Gerard and Lampard and Hoddle and Gazza.
Another one, Ronaldo9, the original and best. What a shame he suffered from injuries, in his younger years he was practically unplayable. El Phenomenon.
And...the greatest player that ever lived (other opinions are available), Maradona. Sheer genius with a ball.
Ronaldo is brilliant but for me he's more a phenomenal athlete rather than natural footballer. And Im not saying he doesn't obviously have ability, he has it in spades. But when you compare his natural ability to players like Messi, Maradona, Neymar,Ronaldinho, Adam Hammill - at his age now yes he still scores goals, but I'd rather have a team who score 80 goals in a season than a team who score 50 but Ronaldo gets 40. I can watch videos of Messi all day. Never seen anything like this fella. Insane! Messi is obviously better, but Ronaldinho is still my favourite!
