So it appears the masterplan by the club was to make the car park unusable in order to help getting planning permission for the fan park. Genius
The plans were shared on here when they were first submitted to the council in February: https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/fan-zone.335945/ This article is on the BBC because the plans are being recommended for approval at the next council planning meeting.
I hope they start charging more realistic prices for drinks and put the horse racing on before matches.
Me either, open to the cold and the elements in winter, I think these and many other concerns were raised but likely fell on deaf ears, never seen any update since they asked for feedback.
On all the posts iv seen about this across all platforms it’s filled with the typical negativity from Barnsley folk. Would rather spend money ‘in town’ than at the football club that youl complain at when we have to sell players to generate revenue to keep going. Everyone’s complaining about the cold but don’t think most clubs are who have these successful fan park that are helping them grow and move forward. Thought we were tough from Barnsley and everyone’s complaining about the cold!
Itl be shut up when wind gets up or any sort of adverse weather, which let's be honest is most of the year in England.
If I were the club/owners I would give up. Trying something to make things better and this is the response from “fans”. Pathetic.
