    I daren't turn telly on. Trying to avoid cricket spoilers. Guessing we're two down though because there's only been two posts on that thread since play started.

    TV Repair men used to be the most disliked workers in country.
    It wer terrible if they couldn’t fix yer telly baht evin to take it away to
    be mended

    Don't think my kids could cope with the small screen , they moan because I don't have a 40'+ !

    Thats what got me about the rentals. It wasn't your TV. They should just have had a spare in the van to swap you out. Its not like they weren't the size of a small desk and didn't all weight 200Kg...

    My dad worked for rentaset, which became radio rentals, used to love going out for the day with him

    Our first colour TV was a Decca in the 1970's....it went wrong a lot..the colour guns ( whatever they were), we got to know our TV repair man well...in fact 50 years on I still remember his name.
