It's his outstanding xG stats that's prompted their interest. A meaningless stat as, for a striker, the only stat with any relevance is goals scored where Max has been somewhat lacking.

Tbf Russell will be the only player we have at present (DKD apart) who others will be genuinely interested in. There doesn't seem to be much interest in Phillips and Connell.. not for anywhere near the price we'd be asking anyway. Which may prove good for us. Staying and running their contract down here.. at least both will have to pull their fingers out next season to a least get a 'sideways move' next summer.

 

It's a strange one with Connell, I genuinely don't think there's ever a lack of effort with him but it just seems like he's not fully recovered from his illness.

Maybe next season we'll see the old Luca, I think his performances were a bit better under CH.
