    I was also there both years - and 93 where I missed the Velvet Underground. His set was fantastic. Didn't see Pulp though. I think I had consumed too much scrumpy and was too sunburnt...

    Got to be honest he’s not my scene and that’s probably because i only know two of his songs but rocking out like that at his age is amazing and still going.

    Over two hours of mostly high energy rock with just a few of the quiet ones to give him a breather. I know we all have different tastes in music but, for me, this was a big shining light in a sea of mostly dross.

    Same at the IOW Festival last week. Wall to wall talentless mediocrity. I got my recorder to record all of it but skipped over lots of it, same as I have done these last two days.

    Neil Young could have got another albums worth of material in the set if he hadn’t done a 5 minute outro to nearly every song played tonight. Very impressive, mindst.

    Wet leg are playing at the foundry in sheffield next month mate. Venue is brilliant holds about 900 - saw jonny Marr there a few weeks ago and they seem to have booked a load of great acts.

    you might get lucky with a Twickets ticket if you have a look .

    Watched Neil Young some of it was alreyt although I got the impression he didn’t want to be there.
    Red Arrows during g Patchwork were awesome as usual, so much to see and do if you get hung up on the headliners it’s a bit pap tbh I’m not bothered about seeing some of them I’m just on my way to see Louis Dunford, The Libertines, Snow Patrol, Billy Bragg with Jamie Webster, Turnstile, Red Rum Club and Noah Kahan

    Shed Seven were pretty decent and worth a watch on catchup. Some golden oldies on there, for those of us of a certain vintage. The angsty teenager in me enjoyed Alanis Morissette. Other than that I’ve been reletively nonplussed this year.
