    Very true.

The players on 10k, 20k etc a week will be looked after before the admin staff on 30k a year. Worlds of wrong.

Although it doesn't seem right, there's a reason players are paid first. If they go unpaid enough times and for long enough, it breaches their contracts and they can leave for free under FIFA rules.

Aren't the players due payment today and if it isn't forthcoming they can walk away and go elsewhere?
Sure I read somewhere that two successive failures to pay monthly wages allows this.

Not paid today they can hand a 15 day notice in and leave for free, club then has 15 days to pay them in full to prevent them from leaving

According to some well connected members of the written media who deal mainly with Wednesday they are reporting that non playing staff have NOT been paid along with the majority of playing staff. Some reports suggesting that players over the age of 24 have NOT been paid.

Also read that the non playing staff who have not been paid are said to be threatening to walk out as one.

Just seen that some 1st team players were paid in full last month but not this month, and those not paid last month have been paid this month which prevents the 2 months in a row and stops the 15 day notice period. Not sure if true

Perhaps it needs a "Massive Club"" to go bust to bring the rest of the football league back into the real world. I hope its dem!!

I get where you're coming from but I feel it's going to need several clubs to go to the wall and a systematic break down of the league before any significant change will happen.

You only have to look at clubs who go into administration and then come out and start over spending again (e.g. Wigan, Bolton). Glasgow Rangers were liquidated over 10 years ago and the new club that play with the same name have made multi million losses pretty much every year.

It seems no one learns and yet they still forelonly chase the ever distancing golden goose.
