In the off chance that DKD is here next season will he play centrally or on the wing as it seems fairly likely we will play 433.

was he central towards end of last season ?

I would have thought 4-3-1-2 would make more sense with DKD playing just behind the main strikers?

Conor has said several times he wants wingers. I doubt he'd go 4-4-2, but you never know. I'd expect a 4-5-1/4-3-3.

I think – or at least hope – Conor is too smart a coach to rigidly stick to one system. There are different flavours of 4-3-3 I can see us using, and DKD can be utilised either centrally or on the left if needed. He could also play off a front one or two if we decide to tweak the shape. All good options for Conor to have.

A lot will depend on the overall quality in other positions and who we're up against. I don’t see him playing much deeper, though – you wouldn’t want to burden him with too much defensive responsibility. That said, I was impressed with how much that side of his game improved last season.

Having said all that, I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up being purely hypothetical and something we don’t even need to consider. An interesting few weeks lie ahead.
