    Interesting.
I wasn't aware they didn't have any preseason games lined up. That's going to make competitive training very difficult.
But Wednesday being Wednesday they will have a last minute saviour and will once again be Champions league contenders in a couple of years.

It's been 9 years since Hull beat them in the Play Offs, Old Dodgephon first lost his nerve then. He then lost his head and ran out of ideas. It became a circus show. Losing 500k a week as a club. Hillsborough finally saw a lick of paint, unfortunately it was the plaster his name everywhere. Relegation followed. Then they bought promotion, and now the chickens (tuna) are coming home to roost. And it's only now their deluded fans are starting to get a grip of reality.

Send them to the National League North.

    Not sure.
Admin would be good for the club but a disaster for him personally as none of his 'businesses' would get a penny back.
He'd be £100m out of pocket.
Can't see him letting admin happen.

Yes, no way will he allow admin. He may as well accept the best bid he can get, even if it means him coming out with a loss.
He'd lose everything if admin happens.
Although he'd still own the ground I think? It would just be the club going into admin.

If HMRC start applying more pressure then I think his asking price will change dramatically, a winding up order might be the final push out of the door.

Reading that article ,not everything is as bad as we say on here in comparison to the situation at S6.
I was uncertain about our future under the previous board.
They created an huge deficit at BFC with the signing of the Belgium 2.
We are still paying for this .
And I am ultimately grateful we have these in charge of our club at the moment.
It's going to take time to sort this mess out.
And here's hoping we can back the board and move forward together.
Were in this together, and let's hope that CH can perform miracles on a budget.
We can't go back to paying huge salaries to compete with the likes of Brum and Wrexam.
Find young footballers who want to develop and jump thru hoops for the shirt.
Rather than the journey men we have chucked money at previously.
    Here's hoping

You do know we are still making large losses? I'd hope by ridding some of our players who were out of contract will reduce the losses a little, but to break even, we'd have to generate significant profits on several players.

We might not be in the mess Wednesday are, but make no mistake, we are in a mess, not all of it inherited. If Parekh decides he doesn't want to fork out £5-10m a year, we're in a bit of a pickle.

Another thing is with been in such disarray...how poor will that be for the start of the season?
They will be weeks behind...and no prep, fitness, formations etc etc.

It wouldn't surprise me to hear were still paying the Belgium 2 wages.
Wouldn't blame the board if they walk away, the stick they get.
Just hope he sticks with his investment, and turn the losses around.

Most if not all clubs are in a mess if not bankrolled by their owners, or if those owners decided to call in their debts. The biggest clubs won’t go to the wall because they will always have someone to bail them out or the banks won’t foreclose because of the impact on them from doing so (the banks didn’t wind Spurs up in the 80’s because they knew how many customers would close their accounts if they did).
There are a fair number of people on Twitter pointing out that Wednesday fans laughed at their clubs when they were in financial difficulties (“Pay up Pompey” as the new Pompey chime being suggested by one Wednesday-ite) so it shouldn’t be the whole football community feeling sorry for them. People point out that they have won the league and cup in the past (90 years ago?) but so what? Bury FC won the FA Cup twice.

The Belgians contacts lapsed, we can't pay players who aren't contracted.

Our current losses are largely because Parekh moved away from the development cycle and we got nothing for players that had some value. And some lesser reasons that compound that.

His dad would be out of pocket, imagine what he's saying to him "To keep you away from the family business because your ***** at it I gave you a bit of pocket money to go and play Fantasy football, and look how you repay me?! You buy a **** hole club in the North of England with a rusty stadium and look how it's turned out...
