Like you say most clubs are run buy differing amount of debt.As long as clubs can service the debt it doesn't implicate admin or other penalties. In the case of S6 it doesn't appear they can do this.I suppose they've only so many taxis they can sell.
Why on Earth would we still be paying wages to folk whos contracts have expired? This current mess is wholly at the door of Parekh, Quay and the Crynes and they need to step up and sort it out, and we need to hold them to account.
Can’t get it to load? 2 sides to the players leaving on a free in 13 days - if they leave, that’s players on big wages gone straight away. No hassle and haggling. Weekly outgoings drop down significantly. They could then play youth - cheap. On the flip side, no players with resale value mean the club have lost most of their assets which could be used to help raise or secure capital.
I think if you dig deep enough ,you will find that we were paying them for not playing. And yes when their contracts were ripped up.we stopped paying them. It came at a very high cost. This current board have not got it all right. But lay the blame where it should be. We came very close before ,with a said Risdale, till he was sent packing. Don't blame all on our current board. I'm grateful their bankrolling us to stay afloat.
We were still paying them when they were not with us ,and their contract paying off would be a huge cost.
Be careful what you wish for . We could be far worse off than what we are. True we should be in the championship with the Owls ,but at least we still have a football club. There not queuing up down ponty road to buy us.
I'm not blaming all on our new board. Just what they are responsible for which are losses of £5-10 million a season, sacking a manager with one game left when we were in the playoffs, appointing a journeyman after being turned down by multiple other candidates and having to scapegoat him before hoping for a feel good factor in appointing Hourihane. The losses are high, the performances have been poor and we're almost starting from scratch again. The single saving grace is the shareholders have so far been willing to pay for their failures. Though I do think much of that has been Parekh seeking to gain 80% control.
Fair comment ,but it's not all down to the current set up. Monumental misstakes along the way. The mob was baying for Collins if you remember.
I had other things on my plate during that period so I can't say I saw any of that season til the playoffs. Yes, big mistakes were made prior to Parekh seizing control, but it doesn't excuse him for making ones under his tenure. I just hope he's learned. The way he defended the sacking of Clarke and his reactions to questions makes me a little concerned.
Their contract has ended. It has expired. They both signed in summer 2021, Oulare signed a 3 year deal and Iseka a 4 year.
What it is i am saying, is we are paying the price with the aftermath of all this wasted money . I know we're not paying now . We have spunked it all already .
