The hard work continues including 7 am running. friendlys played 1 win 1 draw.2 more signings and we said farewell to Baz.Interest in Luca offers turned down. I give a score of 7,what do you think.?
Would sooner do it at the end of the transfer window, which will obviously be affected by the results/performances of those first few games. Patience is the key here
About a 2. Still no decent signings from what I can see, and plenty of players still need to be moved on. Rating given takes account of DKD still being here. Clock is ticking, we always faff about.
5 at best. Still need a proven centre half, a box to box midfielder, a striker and another winger. Plus, we need to move on some deadwood if possible which should help with incomings. The outgoings I suspect are key to the rest of our business. Problem is that we’ve too many players we’d like shut of that no one will touch.
When you look at the squad yesterday you realise how much work is still needed to be done before the Plymouth game.
3. Flavell kept us in the game at Emley and we couldn't beat Worksop. Many players in our bloated squad yet to be seen. No sign of the CBs we need.
It’s a good week for the gullible who will have convinced themselves that jogging round Hoyle Mill with a camera crew instead of jogging around the training pitches shows that they’re taking things way more seriously this season.
Hey Bri I won't give any ratings, because remember "it's only friendlies" at the mo, lol. And I will also say bye to Baz Cotter, and that's a shame actually, as I wanted it to work out for him.
As much as I liked Barry, I don't think he'll be missed. Recruitment has been quite decent so far, at least compared to previous transfer windows when we've lost half the squad and didn't sign anyone till deadline day. So on balance I'll give it 9 out of 10.
2 Too much deadwood we’re struggling to shift, defence still as it is. No striker signed yet. Poor comms, Sormaz still here.
I keep reading that the defence is the same, it isn’t though is it as we have Shepherd and Lopata back in the fold
I'd love to be optimistic, but you have to conclude that only last season the manager or those above him thought those playing and not loaned out were the better option.
