Mammoth score and great win and bizarrely without any great contributions from Malan or Bairstow

Win 4 of our last 5 games and it might be enough....

Just back from Headingley, very enjoyable game tonight. Some good batting after a bit of a shaky start, and then the bowlers did a decent job, especially at the death. Couple of cracking catches too!

We didn't go but watched the stream - Wharton and Luxton both had cracking innings. Nice for O'Rourke to get a 5 wicket haul on his last appearance. Just need to win at Chezzy in Sunday.....we never win there!

Getting hammered by Derbyshire but at least the openers are out. Going to be an easy win this, for Derby,.

Trying to beat Derbyshire is like trying to win at Highfield Road, no matter how shít they are.

I couldn't care less about the 'cups', especially the joke T20 thing.
For me this year, was always about how we do in the County Championship, the 'league'.
After winning promotion, I knew it was going to be hard to stay up this season. And IF we can stay up, then I will be impressed with that. :)

Trouble is the big crowds and money are involved in getting to the latter stages of these competitions and we are terrible at that .

Yeah I understand that Gaz, and I also love a good Cup run, occasionally. A bit like Barnsley Fc ehh lol.
But I will never be a fan of the T20 mate, it just doesn't appeal to me.

Yeah I'm more ok with the One day cup Gaz, the 50 over thing. I look at that as the Fa cup of cricket lol.
But could or should, we try to merge the two maybe. And make the One day cup 30 overs, and that then makes it a T30.

It’s about time Yorkshire try and take white ball cricket seriously. They’re skint and that’s where the money is at. Although they never win at Chez, even when they’ve had decent sifes

That was just carnage and I’ve never seen a team rack up that many runs in the first few overs. It was horrible to watch (on YouTube) and I couldn’t work out how it was happening. Was the Yorkshire bowling that bad because I don’t think Derby’s batsmen had suddenly donned cape and mask and turned into super heroes.

I stuck with it hoping it was just a freak show to start with but no - the “Falcons Men” (what????) just kept launching the ball into the crowd.

Better off watching the women's team. Jess Jonnasen is a great overseas signing for tier 1 next year.
