I think Luca probably meant 100% he had agreed verbally. But nothing is 100% until pen to paper and medical is passed. And even then knowing Barnsley its still not 100% until they are playing (McBurnie). I reckon this won't be happening

Unfortunately he’s been posting the deal is done and making it out it will be announced. Unfortunately he’s got it all wrong and despite him being a die hard fan, looks a bit of a tool.

 

Why is that then? He's posted information he's received from other people. If he's been told "done deal" from a trusted source, and that's what he posted.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Luca is only a young lad, and for you as an adult to call him a tool because you're frankly jealous of a teenager having somewhat of a modicum of access to the Football Club is embarrassing.

I’m not getting on the speculation bus as I’ve learned the hard way which I’m sure Luca has as I’ve also had ‘contacts’ in the club which proved to be unreliable.

The inherent nature of a ‘rumours’ thread is that there is a degree of uncertainty.

Every season we get deal that fall through (because it’s football and especially because we’re crap at transfers), we then have to have 15 pages of guff with people overreacting.

It just screams that the people who can’t digest that information are thick, and year on year don’t learn. It also means that people who might get told nuggets from fairly decent sources don’t post.

Let’s finally learn this year? If someone makes a post like Luca, please don’t be dim and treat it like gospel. If you don’t like rumours, well……stick to the newsbot transfer page.

We’re all sick to death of going round the houses because you can’t grasp some pretty basic stuff.

 

I agree with this to an extent; i just think those bringing rumours might be well advised to ramp down the hubris and certainty/absolutist language when talking about something they've heard, mainly as it makes them seem a bit more of a div when circumstances change.

 

Why? He was clearly told it was a done deal - why should he change what he’s been told for the people who can’t grasp not having everything spoon fed to them.
