We've a load of Brothers playing in the first half the Trialist family 6 of em start and 2 on the bench.
The Club just runs in such a weird way, doesn't it? It doesn't matter what aspect of the Club you look at, the decisions are just baffling. West Stand Safe standing Prices Kit release date Big screen (or not) Recruitment Match day entertainment Fan zone Communication Everything just comes across as being run by total amateurs. What's this got to do with this thread? Why are we fielding an almost complete team of trialists and making it the first team travel to watch it? I don't care if we're playing Rangers on Saturday. These games are supposed to be about fitness, get the first team match fit with one or two trialists on the bench. Just utterly bizarre. This is Mladen saying to Conor "take your pick from these". Just such amateur hour stuff.
Presumably it's a decision that has been made in the last few days due to injuries. We've already cancelled a game this evening with Frickley where I reckon a lot of the young lads would have been playing. Maybe the club sees more benefit in the first team getting minutes against Rangers, and doesn't want to risk further injury. From memory, we're already missing Phillips, Jalo, Shepherd, Lopata, Smith and Watters. I'd imagine a lot of the trialists will be for the u21s team.
One of the trailists has just gone off injured! Do we not believe in warm ups? (Disclaimer: I have no idea what caused the injury!)
