Still a class player, he’s been one of those strikers who always scored against us. His football brain is worth the first 5 yards.
Yeah ok he's apparently signed, so is he just mad, or just hard up!. And I was saying this was a ridiculous rumour, not so long ago. So hey in fairness, maybe I was wrong!.
Another bonkers rumour. He’s supposed to be joining Chesterfield I think and we wouldn’t be able to compete with them. Edit: Ok I got that wrong
I’m still fuming that Hourihane retired himself last year when we still had a chance of reaching the playoffs and he was far and away the best and most experienced player we had in our squad, no matter that he wasn’t still at his peak. I know it’s worked out for him as he’s now our manager but I just couldn’t believe that we had him, right there, and didn’t play him when we were absolutely desperate for a whiff of talent. He could have literally just stood there and took corners and free kicks and it would have been better than some of the players we had on the pitch instead.
He's 5 years too old. He's an excellent footballer, but Conor keeps going on about the press, and McGoldrick could only just about stand still to press a pair of trousers.
