    Chinese Whispers thread. It’s been stated Mladen was out of the office and then Koroma went on holiday in the middle of pre-season, yet people are commenting on Mladen being on holiday. Crazy conspiracy **** all around so far.

    Luckily I know no one ITK these days. When I did know people i always thought it best not to share both from a protecting them point of view but also for situations like this. Getting very close to signing someone and it not happening has always been a thing. It’s not new and it does happen.

    It’s likely not true, but honestly - I’d take this rumour bring true for the comedy value - I don’t really know the player or how good or bad he is, he’s probably fair to middling like whoever we end up getting will be anyway.

    Mr Sormaz? No sorry, you’ve just missed him, he’s popped out for ice creams for the office staff with it being nice weather and all, you’ll have to come back tomorrow. What’s that? signing a contract? No sorry I don’t know anything about that, it will be Mr Sormaz you need to speak with, but like i say he’s not here at the minute.

    It's entirely believable that we're this shambolic, but at the same time let's bear in mind that this is being reported by someone who at one point said Richie Wellens was to be appointed as our manager the next day.

    I'm not saying he's deliberately pillocking anyone, but I don't think we can accept it as gospel.

    According to their forum, there's a few unfamiliar faces on their tour of Spain. One was thought to resemble Koroma, but he was later identified as Lee Jonas, a defender recently released from Liverpool.

    Mladen wasn’t there as he was down in Notts sorting McGoldrick?

    Put that spin on the rumour, and then it doesn’t look that bad.

    And, the club have made it clear - they only want players who want to be here. So what if there was some doubt about his commitment, so Mladen purposefully went missing to see how committed he was overnight. Another spin……

    If he goes somewhere else and bins us off, I’m happy it’s happened. We only only want committed players here.
