Interchangeable kits...

    Why doesn't it catch on?

    For instance Barnsley are predominantly Red and White. Touch of black here and there.

    Why can't we have red shirts with white trim, white shorts with red trim and red and white hopped socks at home? (This season close to a masterpiece).

    Second kit: The inverse of the home shirt without having different socks.

    The third kit: (Mixture of the two without need for an expensive shirt) Black shorts. Keep the socks and mix the home and away kits.

    I would say that we definitely do. Combo of red/white is so common in football, bound to be a clash at some point.

    Yeah this has always bugged me.
    But its better than borrowing the second kit of the team we're visiting.
    Although I can only remember us doing that once.

    We could go one better and have reversible kits like we did in PE at school. Same shirt, just turn it inside out for away games.:D

    Think we did in the Lyons cakes season.. all red with white trim and the second kit was all white with red trim.

    The Holgate shirts were black and white quarters on one side (School colours) then the house colours when turned inside out. I particularly liked the Holgate and Lancaster shirts which were basically Hibs and Arsenal shirts of the time. Wasn't too fussed with my house (Sadler) which was a black shirt with yellow sleeves. Anyway, I always thought those reversible shirts were a brilliant idea.

    King's School Pontefract was a burgundy rugby shirt with blue collar. If you turned it inside out there was a yellow stripe and the collar was white. Navy shorts and socks.

    Historically, Blackpool have done this. Whether they still do, I don't know.

    And remember it was that Ian Holloway led C.Palace team, that helped us to send the Posh down, on the last day. :rolleyes:

    Which we had to wear at Stoke and Sunderland.

    Yeah I remember maybe three games that season, where we had the white shirt and red shorts.
    Which was the total opposite to our home kit, and the teams we visited (Middlesbrough, Swindon, and Bristol City).
