Something is puzzling me. I use Apple Music in the car via CarPlay and every time I drive past McDonalds near Morrisons in town the music goes off and on. I originally thought it was losing mobile signal or something to do with the mobile mast that’s nearby. But I have tried it with playlists that I have downloaded to the phone so it’s nothing to do with streaming to the phone as the songs are stored locally.

    Any ideas ?

Have you ever used WiFi somewhere near? Could be that it picks up a trace of a network it knows and spends ages trying to connect. Try switching WiFi off completely next time and see if that fixes it. If so, clear anything nearby from your preferred networks.

Do you lose any time? In other words have you checked your watch to see if there's missing time?
    UFOs come to mind.
