    I was smiling nearly all the way through the Harrogate game but this….nothing much to smile about. Vickers looks lively but no end product yet.

    We’re getting a bit of a runaround here from a non league team. I expect to see some improvement when McGoldrick comes on

    Losing 1-0 at HT thanks to Banger Jnr. It was a good goal and then he managed to get himself booked after MDG burst down the wing and he very crudely tripped out flying right back. At least we had a bit of excitement.

    Honestly, though, it’s a pretty sterile affair. Big improvement needed second half. Atmosphere is pretty flat as well despite a decent away following.

    Not too surprised cos Russell didn’t look very fit (or interested) on Saturday and Bland and Yoganathan are very inexperienced. Shows how weak midfield might be if Connell is sold.

    You would certainly see a difference with Connell and Phillips in the team. Bland has looked very poor. Vimal showed a couple of nice touches and should have scored when DKD floated a nice free kick onto his head

    Plenty of passing the ball but not much at end of it,their goalie made a good save. Great following from Barnsley for a friendly.

    We all know….not sure Mladen does though.
    Problem is we’ve too many poor defenders on the books that we can’t shift out.

    We've known since early last season the defence isn't good enough. Letting 2 in against a non league team drives home the need for improvements in the back line. Time is running out.

    Our defence was one of worst in league last season. Done nowt to change it. So stands to reason we probably wont trouble the top half
