Dunno if he would drop straight back in to form if he hasn’t been playing much. Not sure we would pay him what he’d be asking for. Sounds like a Huddersfield Town signing.
Wouldn’t be completely against it myself but not if there’s a substantial fee involved. Don’t think he’d come anyway. Bet he ends up at Bradford.
Someone with his pace would be ideal in the high press, break quickly style that Connor wants. Can't see it happening though. I'd love for us to sign a striker that we can eventually build a team around. Someone a bit younger who we can tie down to a 3 year deal or so, rather than another 12 month contract or loan. Of the players we've been linked with, I still think Tovide would be ideal.
QPR supposed to be after Tovide, according to reports in West London press. So can't see us beating QPR to his signature
It seems a no brainer if it were possible and he was happy to return. Somehow I think he's likely to get better offers.
https://www.westbromnews.co.uk/2025...ave-the-hawthorns-after-latest-transfer-news/ No goal in 14 sub appearances but only a combined 157 minutes. He's supposedly on 7.5k a week.
Would love him back, but can't see it. Especially after the grief he got from a section of our fan base.
Here, sit on this bench for a year and we'll pay you £375k for it. 1. He had a somewhat inflated opinion of his own position in the rankings if he thought for a moment it would be anything different to how it turned out. 2. What were West Brom thinking when they signed him. It was pretty obvious he wouldn't be a first team starter from the off.
