Just saw his assist for the 2nd goal.. incredible pass!

Really not sure how anyone can be doubting this signing after seeing that, he will be invaluable this season.

Just seen it , to call it sublime doesn’t do it justice.

He's looked good in his first few games.

We just need our media department to stop referring to him by his nickname all time.

pffff I thought he would be a good signing at first but then I saw the comments on here and realised what a liability he is!

I don't think anyone criticised the signing for what quality he has.

The question is how much game time will a near 38 year old manage whilst supposedly being part of a high energy style.

At the minute, we all hope he can be an ever present and manage it for one final season. Because at the minute, we have nobody else to play central striker.

He's managed pretty much 40 games in each of the last 3 seasons. Leyton Orient had a 39 year old Pratley in their midfield most of the season. If you look after yourself as a footballer, age is just a number.

If age is just a number, why do players retire?

The whole move was fantastic. Murphy Cooper has demonstrated in these last two games how accurate he is with his kicking. The ball out to DMcG was perfect and the control with his chest just brilliant. The diagonal pass that followed just said “there you are Adam - goal on a plate for you”.

I’m convinced that people will go to Oakwell just to see him turn it on . He really IS that good .

The chest down and turn was class, but if the defender had cut out the pass, which he should have done easily, nobody mentions it.

But he didn't because he couldn't get there. First yard of pace is in your head.

Some want to get into coaching, some age quicker than others and some don't look after themselves properly.

Age is not the be all and end all, that's my point. McGoldrick has shown no signs of struggling but you're assuming he will just because of his age.

I just hope he avoids injuries, otherwise I think he will be a great signing in what may be his swansong season. Some like to spout he his too old and such just so they can say "told you so", if he fails mate.

Whenever it is, McGoldrick will retire... Because of the effects of his age.
