Barnsley Football Club and technical partner Oxen are proud to reveal the new away kit for the 2025/26 season.

Once again, the Club has collaborated with global fashion platform VFILES and Club Director Julie Anne Quay to create a unique away look that fuses style, performance, and imagery which is central to the town's proud history.

Julie Anne Quay said, “Of all the shirts this season, this is my favourite. I don’t need to explain to anyone in our community what the Kestrel hawk means to us at Barnsley Football Club. This is for the away fans — who travel miles and miles every season to bring the spirit of Barnsley to our boys when they play away from home. This is to support the fan flag and extend that message onto the pitch and show that we are one. This shirt is for the people of Barnsley to acknowledge their spirit, grit, passion and triumph over adversity.“

Rapid Response Telecoms are the Club's front-of-shirt partner for this year's away and third kits, with Weston Park's logo once again proudly sitting on the sleeve of the kit. Finally, long-term partner Parliament will see their logo featured on the back of the shirt.

The 2025/26 Away Kit will be on sale online and in store from Friday, 1st August, and will be worn for the first time at Plymouth Argyle on the opening day of the Sky Bet League One season.

I'm not expecting a rapid response from our defenders.

It's like a white grey silver metallic colour :D

Looks alright to me. Would have been even better without the kestrel.

Might have been tempted if it was plain and I haven't bought a barnsley shirt since 1995

Can only imagine the players reactions when being asked to wear it “why’s it got a ******* bird on it?”

Julie Q sticking her nose in again, where the kit is concerned.
I don't mind them and the colours to be honest, but I think the kestrel thing is naff.

I don't mind the kestrel thing as it's a bit different and a nice link to the town etc. with the Kes thing.

Just personally not a huge fan of the silvery grey colour but appreciate others will like it as it is all subjective

Could do with some new players more than a top with a bird on it to be honest.

I don't mind the kit, not my cup of tea but we've had worse.

I think we're only a couple of seasons away from kits with full blown graphics, so this steals a march for me.

    I'm ok with it

I think it looks terrible myself. This obsession with nostalgia just doesn't do it for me at all. Wonder what the 3rd kit will have on it? A picture of Michael Parkinson? The keeper's kit is the best of the lot for me. Green, pinstripes. Classic.

Apart from anything else what kind of designer would make a completely grey scale kit and then stick a bright red full colour badge on it? Looks hideous

    I like it.

The more you look at the Kestrel the more it does start to look a bit naff, but it’s fun to nod to our history.

    Keeper kit looks great.

Must send the shirt designer a thank you card, cos the ghastly away kit to go with the ghastly home kit has saved me a fortune. Our shirts over the past few years have been some of the worst we’ve ever had. Fans have mocked up shirts the past couple of summers and they have looked far better than the ones the club has produced.
