I agree with this - and from the Ronnie Moore thread - for 90 minutes, give them grief on the pitch, then shake their hands and wish them well for the rest of the season.
Fit and proper? What the f*** does that mean to the FA? No checks and no repercussions for chancers like Chasiri. He should be jailed for fraud and non payment of employees. No love for fowls, but fans should be protected from these sheisters.
Reap what you sow, i feel sort of sorry for the fans but not the club, they have spent more than they have and are now paying the price, im glad we live within our means because we could easily have been in that position if Conman n his chrony were still here
I'll never get people wanting a Club to go under. Ordinary people will lose their jobs. Ordinary businesses will go under. A community will lose their Club, for reasons mostly out of their control. It's weird.
There will be more jobs in the supermarket, and the bars and apartment complexes that could be built…. This is tongue in cheek btw. I don’t want them to go under, languish in league 2 for a few years would be good enough. The years of taking the piss has come back to them…. Yes not all Wednesday fans are awful but all massives are Wednesday fans…
Absolutely. Totally here for ripping the pi$$ out of Wednesday fans. Take the chances when they come. But I draw a line at wanting the Club to go under.
I for one dont want em to fold, go under, cease to exist, granted its nice to see the hurt and the sadness. They are Massive, an av a massive fan base, with massive ego's but apart from that they are football fans who love their Club, its a shame, an i still believe theyll come out of this nightmare stronger an even more Massiver. My next door neighbours a Wednesday fan with Massive booobs, keeps walking around the garden all day Topless, i wish his wife would do the same.
What could they have done all those years ago to stop this? They didn't have a crystal ball that said he'd end up doing this. When he took over he had plenty of funds, paid players and staff, made signings and was a reasonable normal owner. Last 6/12 months he's become a total lunatic and it's become a total mess. Has he run out of money? Or just throwing a major tantrum? Who knows. But the fit and proper tests can't stop anything like this. No crook is going to tell you their intentions before they do something, all they can do is make sure they have funds and seem reasonable enough people which at the time he did.
Yep, Wednesday fans were applauding him for selling the ground to himself for £60million…, to avoid FFP. He has put an awful lot of money into the club and while the getting was good, we got the whole “this is what it’s like to be big… “. Now it’s turned sour he’s unfit. It’s only the last year or so he’s been like an evil genius. Or was it his plan all along?
I am sad for a small percentage but my word, couldn’t happen better to a scummier fanbase. When something pops up in social media, it’s always one of them. All local sides taking the piss out of them because of their arrogance.
He's either run out of money or he's thrown toys out of pram on an extreme level after all stick he's got over last 12 months or so.
Maybe he should have been made to put some of those millions in a bond and been made to sign a contract of behaviour. Including paying the bills, not misappropriation of the stadium and would forfeit the bond and removed from office if in breach of contract. The club would then be sold to the highest bidder who met the requirements. The rules of capitalism don’t cover everything in this instance. These are examples of checks and balances that don’t exist at the moment and should be in place. Question is: who owns the club? We all feel that we have a stake in the club, but we and it are open to any carpet bagger who fancies taking a ride. Thank you to our board for not behaving like this.
Sure no harm in that, but I don’t like the more extreme views. Wednesday fans are on the whole good people with a genuine love of their club, just like Barnsley fans. We’re all the same really. I feel for them in their current predicament and hope it eventually turns out well for them.
Some decent suggestions to be fair. But in the event of an owner breaching this behavior contract and being removed from post. Who then is responsible for paying players and bills etc. until new buyer is found. What if no bidders come forward etc. EFL for example won't have the funds to keep clubs going while buyers are found cos they've kicked some out. There is sadly no easy fix to these issues. And it's going to sadly keep happening
