Rumour is that it was the buyers who pulled out as he couldn’t give any clarity on the debt linked to the club, which could suggest like others have said there are some skeletons lurking.
Likewise we can't complain if Neerav sticks us in administration next week because a lot of our fans have asked us to sign a right back knowing we are losing nearly a million quid a month.
Hmmm depends which way they playing. If away end behind Leicester goal all the cameras will be on the Weds goal that's if they can put a team out I think they are planning to protest at first home game v Stoke as well
Imo. Now the season gets underway. There will be less pressure on Chansiri. To sell up anytime soon. Loyalty payments and TV money will start filtering through. As said on an earlier post. £11m on loyalty payments etc. £4m on tv revenue. + £0.5 to £1.5 per shown game. Income from other sources. Sponsorship etc. You could be looking at a minimum of £2m per month during the season. As his biggest issue is supposedly cash flow. Most income will possibly satisfy his requirements. If as reported, all his big earners have more or less gone off the books. If You were looking at an average wage of less than £800 k per annum. x25 (squad size) = £12.5m and I think that is more than generous. Probably much less. He could actually be breaking even. But back to square one come the season end. The figures I quote are just an example and could be more or less. He certainly isn't Skint. But not willing to use his own money imo. As for trying to appease the fans. He's totally alienated em. And imo, because his family have supposedly been threatened. (Which I don't doubt to be fair) as they say. Revenge.
The EFL have said they may withhold some of the money though to pay off some of their debts. I assume things like payments owed to other clubs for transfers.
Think he's looking pretty good considering he must be in his 70's now! Loved him when he played for us, always comes across as a top bloke in interviews as well.
He’s still got his full head of hair anyway, not bad for 71 I’d say! According to wiki he was still working as a physio for Peterborough and then Scunthorpe back in 2022. Read his book a couple of years ago that’s worth reading.
Be interesting to see how many boycott the home games. If I was a fan of theirs I’d be making a point of empty home games but good away attendance. I know he will get some of the away revenue but it would help reinforce the statement.
