Hahaha. Oh dear. Nothing like being one eyed is there. What penalty not being given is he talking about? - the one where their player dived like a swan and was lucky not to be booked for cheating? That one?
I thought the ref did everything he could to help them out. All our bookings including both of Sheps were an absolute joke. McGoldricks booking was the best tackle of the day!! My Sheffield United supporting mate watched the game as a complete neutral and thought the ref had a hard on for Plymouth.
I particularly like this comment: His call to disallow Watts' goal in the opening minutes caused consternation among the home fans, but replays suggest it was a justifiable, if strict, decision. it’s not a strict decision, it’s the rules of the game
I've never ever come across a more delusional set of cry babies! Their fans, their player interviews and their manager too! Not one congratulatory word for us whatsoever. Ref was on our side! Give me a break! He literally sent one of our players off for practically nothing, booked half the side etc. Cooper fouled Watts.... No, he didn't. Our goal should've stood....no, it shouldn't have. We gifted them all their goals...they still need finishing, players to be in a position to score etc. Never really paid Plymouth much gorm to be honest, but after today, I hope they go down again, detestable sore losers.
I like this comment by one of theirs, and it all sounds very familiar to what we've often said... "Early doors, but perhaps this is what you get when you lose half decent players during pre season. And then decide to buy the replacements, in Poundland!."
Well.. we may be 1 dimensional but Plymouth looked bloody awful in all 3 dimensions today so I’ll take that. I know which set of supporters should be more worried based on that.
How many times in recent years have we played someone at Oakwell who's in the top 3/4 and wondered how they're so high up the table etc - it's called finishing! The more clinical you are , the more games you win generally. I've also mentioned that if you're fit and organised, you can finish mid table at this level. As much as I've criticised Adam Philips (And granted some has been harsh), the lad can strike a ball. We have alot of decent players at this level going forward and for me tahts where we can do the damage - thats one thing this division is compared to the championship - wasteful in front of goal! No doubt if Plymouth win their next game it will be due to sheer brilliance on their part and not decisions ! They can shove their Hoe up their ar5e
Definitely. The regular finishing in the Championship now is probably not far off the level it was in the Premier League when we were there (with the obvious exceptions of other-wordly geniuses like Bergkamp). I remember chatting to a couple of Forest mates when we went up, and they said the main difference I'd notice in the Premier League was the quality of the finishing. You just can't give chances away, as the strikers there will bury them. As we found out to our cost when facing Vialli.
