For me it should have been a penalty all day long to Barnsley, Shepherd was hauled to the ground.

Stranger still, that footage shows the ref was looking right at it. He would have seen how it all unfolded and the aggression. No excuses.

Although, as I've already said, despite the natural reaction to go help your teammates the smart thing would have been to not get involved and let it all unfold under the ref's nose. The Plymouth players had lost the plot and would have been in serious trouble. Creating a brawl took the attention away from them. Think, "WWJJD..? What would Joe Jacobson do?"

I don't think we will appeal. Although we have due cause imo. Both yellows were ridiculous.

In football, a player cannot directly appeal a yellow card, even if it leads to a red card after two cautions. However, if a player receives a second yellow card leading to a red card, and at least one of those yellow cards was for "foul play", the player can appeal the decision related to the "foul play" yellow card(s). There's no right to appeal a yellow card for a technical offense.

Didn't say they weren't tbf. Just copying the rule in full.
Given our reluctance in the past, because an appeal costs money. More so if they have to include such as video evidence. They may think its not worthwhile.

He is nowhere near a prolific striker. 5 in 40 games for Exeter.

That's what I'm saying so why not appeal and I thought EFL or someone looked at incidents in retrospect when ref didn't take action like he didn't take action on the 2 players throwing punches during the fracas

Nobody mentioned anything about him being a prolific goalscorer, i stated an opinion that i feel he'll be up there with the leaders cum May i might be wrong i probably will be but the way he put himself about who knows, like Tike the frog says Cosgrove looked good once, opinions are just that, we'll see cum May.

I've lost count of the number of times us fans have wanted us to appeal. And I agree with you on this one if 100 % clear evidence can be given.
But I also seem to recall an ex referee.
Pointing out its extremely difficult to fall on the side of the player.
A one match ban is rarely fought I think. unless its a multi million pounds player. At a mega rich club.
As for retrospect imo they will unlikely visit an incident unless reported to em or appealed.
    Unfair but common.
