Hey yeah it's the brilliant mid 90s song, by the Gallagher sisters lol. And it's weird because I can't stand them both to be honest, and I'm not a fan. But yeah I admit, I do really like this particular song of theirs. Weird ehh!!. And I'm also a big fan of The Avengers and The New Avengers, so it was great to see Patrick MacNee in the video. Maybe his character John Steed, ended up as a chauffeur eventually ehh.
For me it's one of their worst songs, which is weird because most people have it up there with their best. I just don't get it though, to my ears it's a right drone of a song.
Maybe this, or maybe just insanely overplayed. Whichever one, I get very little enjoyment out of hearing it these days.
I'm going with over played. I'm not an Oasis fan, but it has all the elements of a end of the night, sing-along pub anthem. It's the drum solo before the big finale that cements it in that category for me.
Always remember lots of bands finished their sets with it back in the day in the Theatre on Wellington st on a Saturday night , personally i think it’s a great song.
Love oasis, went to heaton park, but I think their best stuff is the b sides. Some class songs, half the word away, the masterplan, rocking chair, sunday morning call, to name a few
I don't get the. Can't stand em or their music because of individuals in the band. Not a fan of oasis missen and the antics of the brothers in general. But some cracking songs. I'm a big U2 fan. The songs in the main I think are Brilliant. But I've heard folk say. '"Nope dunt like em cos of that wan£er bono" Mad. I even had a argument with a colleague at work. I'd watched Will Young the night b4. And really enjoyed it. He says can't stand him. I said he'd sang some great songs. Him "Ah but he's gay." Wtaf. I said do you like Elton John and Queen (Freddie Mercury.) He said said yes and tied his sen in knots trying to offer up an excuse. Dozy pr1ck.
It’s a skip song for sure, overplayed to death so much so that it’s sucked any enjoyment out of it, much like other songs over the years, you know the ones Living on a prayer, Summer of 69, even Wonderwall etc etc the list goes on. Don’t mind some of their other records, but not a massive fan. They were a massive cultural phenomenon, but in my opinion musically they’re nothing special.
I'm an oasis fan but i feel the same re wonderwall' everybody seems to love it but i find it very drab and really boring.
The Beatles were revolutionary. Literally sounded like nothing else at the time. And they kept pushing the boundaries, in a way that Oasis never, ever did. Think of how groundbreaking the Beatles' stuff from the second party of their career was, compared with..... anything Oasis recorded after Morning Glory.
A good mate of mine is huge Oasis fan, he’s scared to add up the amount he’s spent on tickets and merch, he did let slip that he paid £2000 for gold package for one of them, I thinks he done 5 shows….anyways the one song he hates is Don’t look back in anger.
