Absolutely pathetic. A woman abused a potentially transgender employee just doing her job because she was “too tall to be a woman” and M&S apologise to the customer for the inconvenience. Absolutely crazy. https://www.thepinknews.com/2025/08/05/marks-spencer-trans-employee/
I disagree. When you're going for your first bra fitting you expect it to be with a woman. There are plenty of other parts of the store that the employee could work in that wouldn't give rise to this sort of scenario.
That's a lovely story but what's the relevance? "According to the complaint, the staff member politely asked if the pair, who were hoping to schedule a bra fitting, needed help in finding the right part of the store." Nowhere in the article does it even suggest that the employee was working in the bra section. It literally says that they asked if the transphobe wanted help finding the correct part of the store
Unless I've misread the article, the trans member of staff wasn't offering to assist with a bra fitting, but merely help them find the right part of the shop.
I used to date a girl who was 6'3".Apparently she must've been a bloke. Although I imagine I would've spotted the f**king adams apple!
And? I assume your point here is that the employee is a male. That's a lovely story again. So tell me why does that prevent them from suffering sex discrimination by an employer?
What bothers me is that it is only the customer's opinion that the person was trans - I've known several women 6' 2" tall. The response from M&S neither confirms or denies that the person was trans. I wouldn't expect any store to have a trans woman working in the ladies clothing section, for their own protection.
They weren't in the ladies clothing section. They were in the underwear section allegedly which trans people wear just like biological women and men too.
Because it's a reasonable expectation that a woman assists with bra fittings, especially with teenage girls being fitted for their first bra.
Where do you hang out!? 6ft 2 is 95th-97th percentile height for men and for women it's 99.99th percentile height
I can't tell if you're actually thick or just pretending to be so that you don't have to acknowledge your transphobia again but the employee WAS NOT OFFERING TO CONDUCT A BRA FITTING
