Thought it would be a while, bad news. Need someone in if we’re shifting out Lopata.

Interesting, sounds like Lopata will definitely be out then. Probably meant Dallas too.

This is probably strong management - he doesn’t want to end up stuck with guys that he really doesn’t think are good enough. It’d be easy to bring them in to the squad while we’re short, but Conor is being clear that they’re not part of the squad.

MDG can play centre half in a back four then. He couldn't last week.

Worrying if he's contemplating playing MDG at centre half in a back four. He just doesn't have the physical presence.
Surely we're looking to bring someone in?

It’s brave of the club, to not add a right full back or centre half over the last couple of months.

Negligence of the highest order to rely on a 35 year old and with no cover.

If you’re a Burton striker you’d be rubbing your hands for Saturday i bet they can’t wait.

    Yep.
3-2-5 formation for them no doubt.

Sounds like we could be close to a signing or 2. Let’s hope it’s a right back and then centre back.

The lopata one strikes me of a discipline problem. Short shrift reply.

MDG played OK when he went to cover Robbo at Plymouth.
Which imo puts him and Earl in there. As Centre backs. Ogbetta LB. Barrett RB.
Midfield need to step up with cover.
Shepherd out for this game only thankfully.
I in hopefully, 2 would be great.
The loss of Roberts and Sheperd a bit of a kick in the teeth

I reckon Bland will play at right back with Barrett on the bench as our only cover right across the back four.
Ridiculous that we're so thin on bodies at the back.

He hasn't done too well in a back three in the past.

Said it back at the end of last season, top priorities should have been a CB and full backs, pivotal to how we put a stamp on the game and dictates what happens at the top end.

Very impressed with Conor’s interviews. Feel we have now have an excellent manager, hope we can keep him for some while.

Agree but he needs the tools to do his job.
    Will he get them?
