The downside is not enough variety in overseas players. Nobody from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the women's and few from Windies and South Africa.

    It's very Australia heavy.

The ownership situation concerns me most with certain county sides retaining majority or signifcant shares in the franchises and thus a big chunk of income while others get nothing. It will potentially spell and end of the county system as we knew it. With the "Hundred counties" dwarfing the others

both have far less teams and less opposition to change.

you can’t franchise 18 counties, none of the members would ever vote for it and there’s just too many to run an IPL / BB type competition.

to make a point of difference I assume, they’ve tried to be funky and jazz it up.

That’s true but it’s too confusing for us old gits !
I really hope it proves successful however.

I tried to watch it a few times when it first started, but just couldn't get into it, so haven't paid it a bit of notice since.

You might as well give them baseball bats and a mit and crack on. I appreciate others enjoy it, but for me its even less watchable than some of the other forms of cricket that have been ruined.
