I was impressed by his cameo. He looked quick, strong and direct. Things we have been missing. Hopefully he starts in the upcoming cup game and we can see him a bit more.
Needs to keep his head down. Not be thrown in too quick. Keep dropping him in and out of the team. Next year will be his year if he keeps at it. Looks a really good prospect. Things will start to look rosey when Jalo comes back. Having to pick between Jalo, Cleary and Vickers on either side of DKD with Mcgoldrick in the 10 is a wonderful proposition when they're at it.
So did Nwakali for his first cameo mate. Let's not put too much pressure on the lad too soon he does look mega exciting though its easy to get caught up. Thought the same of Vickers and Kelly too - really exciting players to watch
Looked like what we all wanted Jalo to be at first glance. Obviously hoping Jalo comes back and smashes it
This guy wasn't an unknown from abroad. He's a lad a team expecting to challenge for top flight promotion wanted to keep hold of.
I couldn’t help but read that to the tune of ‘I can see clearly now the rain has gone’ after @Deafening Silence’s post.
Cleary was excellent today. His first touch and strength, particularly with back to goal, was something that we’ve missed in recent years and allowed other players into the game to overload in key areas. I appreciate that it’s a brief cameo but he was direct in possession and also appeared to have a degree of awareness, as evidenced by the ball in behind to set up AP for the assist from the cut back. A very promising start.
Appreciate it was only a cameo today but I really like the look of this lad. He will also learn so much off McGoldrick.
