Someone take the ball off DeGevigney. He’s incapable of taking a legal throw in. He gets penalised countless times. Unforgivable for a pro footballer.
Also tell Josh Earl to stop that suicidal throw in into the midfield area that almost led to us getting cut wide open. Not the first time he’s done it either!
He’s been pulled up for it loads but even more have been missed. He rarely takes a legal one. It’s unforgivable for a professional footballer. I’d fine him every time he does it.
Coaches have to take some blame though. If i had a kid in my under 13s team who did it as frequently as MDG, it would have been worked on till it was fixed. What on Earth do they watch?
I can think of four or five he's done off the top of my head. I did it once as a kid and got such a dressing down by the teacher I never did it again!
Or you have given the role to someone else. Free kicks, penalties, corners etc would have been given to someone else by now.
It’s the short throws he gets pulled on. Takes them slowly and doesn’t get the ball behind his head. Such a basic thing.
It astounds me that no-one in the coaching staff. Shows him how to take a throw. Been foul throwing since the day he arrived at the club. I'm also astounded, at the amount of times refs choose to ignore.
I'm more bothered about his passing. Another goal given away yesterday by passing directly to an opposition player that set up their second goal. Blame the goalkeeper if you like but whatever the keeper had done, Burton had a free run at our goal because MDG gave the ball away in a dangerous position. He does it almost every week.
Think fans are a bit harsh on him. He just needs to improve his tackling, his heading, his positioning, his passing and his throw ins and he’ll be a reight player
Throw ins have always been a bugbear of mine, you see several foul throws a game that don’t get penalised. There seems to be a bit of a crackdown on it this season it seems. Which is great, unless MGD is taking it.
Really dont understand why everyone seems to be having a go at MDG....he's been the most consistent defender we've had over the past two year.
He's been consistently bad. No better or worse than his twin Josh Earl though. One is a teapot, the other is a fireguard, and they're both made of chocolate.
