For sure. But if we get the supposed asking price of £5 million, bearing in mind the figure of £500k is being mentioned for McAtee, that still leaves us with a very decent chunk to offset losses even after spending say £600k on a top quality centre half for this level.
Wonder when he will get announced. I don't see how he can be anything other than a bench warmer for us, at least to begin with.
Yeah I'd totally understand the business. I just think that on the pitch, replacing DKD with McAtee would be a backward step. I can't imagine that would be the only business though. Even if that did go through, I'd expect another striker as well. We'll know soon enough
Is great player going a bit overboard me thinks will settle for decent player.salah is a great player.
Hope you are right but I seem to remember something being mentioned on here about it. Perhaps during the January window
Reports seem to say a loan, we know what he brings, we need a striker permanently and he wouldn’t be able to play against Bolton. Don't see the point of a loan, get the cash spent.
We've only to play them once out of all the rest of the games of the season. Would we rather have a striker proven at this level or another Tedic from Man City or one of the other Premier League side. The fact we are loaning rather than buying probably means that Bolton realise that if he has another good season with us his value will rise.
I agree, I'd much rather have McAtee. Guess I assumed we were the ones preferring a loan, spose it could be Bolton.
Why do we need to loan him he,s being here before? Strikes me desperation cos we can’t get anybody else nobody can argue that fact. If we sign him permanent then fair enough.
Because we have no money. It's been trailed a long time our losses are unsustainable and the owners didn't want to be pumping in millions every season. We've not sold anyone this window, and some we've got rid of on loan, we'll still be contributing to their wages.
What about the fact that it's much easier to complete loan deals from an administrative point of view? You see it all the time - take a look at today's Premier League deals. If all parties are happy it becomes permanent in January/June.
This as well. Clearly not going to be permanent if we don't sell anyone. I wonder if Bolton are interested in Russell?
You’ve got form for being incorrect on this, as last time you said it, someone posted a link to the contrary. Can’t remember player/s concerned, might’ve been Woodrow and/ or Carlton Morris
If it’s as Luca said on here about loan with a view of £500k that says to me it’s similar to what we’ve done a few times in that if he comes we will sign him next year.
