Tough team Somerset. Doing well in the county championship, did well in the 50 overs and reached T20 finals day.

A very underated county probably due to them not being an international stadium.

They’ve not won the CC so we’ll kibosh their chance this season

Hill could could in the Englad reckoning soon enough. He's having a wonderful season.

Kadmore needs to get out. Former players always have a point to prove.

Can we have Root back for a couple of championship games ?
Potts has been released from the squad for Ireland tour to help Durham out !

Should hope so what with Surrey getting their usual preferential treatment with Pope being allowed to play for them from the test side.

Root hasn’t got an England game until end of October in NZ so surely they’ll let him play

    Pope didn't play in one-dayers.
It's also a two way street, ECB have granted Root permission to play in the past but Joe's preferred the golf course....

Durham have started well against Essex. If they win that it's going to be very tight between an handful of teams going in to the last two games.

Besides weather, it’s worrying that we’re in last and they have 3 capable spinners.
The pitch looks a bit ragged already

From this afternoon the game looks like a write off to rain so a certain draw on the cards

A draw is ok for us to be fair. Just got to hope that Durham don't beat Essex but even then we'd stay out of the bottom two.
See Durham have bottom of table Worcester next and then us in the last game. Could still get a bit nervy.....

Considering the summer we've had, watch us get relegated due to rain affected matches.:(

Rained off now. That will be it for the day.

Somerset might decide to have a bowl tomorrow.

The weather forecast is not very good. I think the most likely result is a draw.
