Can't be bothered with the League Cup

Judging by the team tonight, neither can Davey.

Wrong. Davey was hampered by injuries. Davey does care

He wants to win every single game.

You only have to meet him and talk to him to see that.

If you have Barnsley World you can see it on the interviews he gives too.

We played well tonightagainst a massive club with a team of multi million pound players Given, Owen, Ameobi, Martins, Smith, Milner

    Hell, we did bloody well.

We had 3 fit strikers tonight , if he wants to win every game why not play 2 strikers then.
It does not matter if you lose 2-0 and do well, its still a loss. We were never going to try and win with the tactics he played. He didnt care about losing this match.

    If

you are unable to see that playing a weakened 4 man midfield (no howard, Anderson not allowed to play and probably saving johnsons efforts for sat) would have resulted in nothing less than a tonking then there is no hope for you.

We obviously tried to give some other players a run out, flood midfield and hoped to nick the game with an odd goal.

What about confidence in the side?

Moving 3 strikers up front would have left us so vulnerable at the back.

It could have been and most probably would have been a cricket score.

Davey has to think about building confidence.

The way Davey asked his tem to play tonight fostered that.

They will not have come away devestated but will have come away thinking that for almost 60 mins they kept some of the best strikers in the world at bay and rattled the Newcastle cages BIG STYLE

That will breed confidence against West Brom and they will go into that game believing they can get a result

Davey played it just right in my opinion and we did well.
