Didnt go last night. Havent seen us win since November. Stayed in to watch Celtic match but listened to commentary from Hulls point of view.
Apparantly they were terrible mainly down to their formation being wrong 433? Defensively they were at fault for all three goals. Two mix ups and non existent marking for the third. The Hull commentators raved about the two Hungarians but said that we were a very average side (nothing special) and that we had dodgy keeper syndrome in the second half but got away with it.
I saw the goals this morning and i actually had to agree. They did look shocking defensively.
I feel that some are getting a bit carried away. We have beaten another team who will most likely be in the bottom six come May. This is great in one sense as we are taking away points from those around us but does this mean we will lose the next run of games before we play another team who are down there? Norwich maybe?
Lets face it nearly every good result we have had under Davey has come against teams who are struggling so im not getting my hopes up.
It looks like we have landed lucky with the Hungarians. They sound like grafters and hopefully that means a kick up the arse to the other strikers at the club. We sounded like we were defending from the front.
I cant say much more cos i wasnt there. Just thought id share the opinion of those from the opposition.
by the way if Colgan had dropped a b*llock by dropping the ball many would be hammering him for it.
    just that.

In fairness, the optimism has come from the performance of the Hungarians - and even the Hull commentators acknowledged how good they were.

"Landed lucky" - is that just a way of avoiding giving the club any sort of credit for finding them?

    Colgan's dropped far more B*ll*cks .....

..... than dropping one cross mate, he makes some good saves but his uncertainty and real 'fear' of coming off his line, even to the 6-yard line, puts our defence under real pressure, not to mention his shocking distribution.

Colgan has had some great moments for the tarn but he has dropped some real howlers. In my opinion we will always struggle defensively while he is in the nets.

I have to agree, however, part of Hulls defensive problems came from the fact that they new that within milliseconds of receiving the ball they would have a stampeding Magyar on their toes. they were forced into many of their errors by them or the thought of them. In this, the midfield provided back up and got forward to harry and harras whenever possible.

Its what we should have been doing long before now.

Lucas did look a bit dodgy for the first few minutes of the second half, flapping at a couple of crosses, but after that he seemed okay and was even talking to the back four.

I know 1 of the commentators on Radio Humberside (Alex Burgess) and he is usually pretty fair at summing up the opposition, and will give credit where its due.

I spoke to a couple of City fans at work yesterday who attended the game. They saw it that Barnsley's weak spot is our Full Backs ( no argument from me on that 1!), so by playing 4-3-3, they had no width and therefore our FB's had an easy ride.

I thought about this, and told them they were just s**t, and they are going down!
