Must be frustrating for him to be in this situation. I hope it gets resolved quickly.

I’m guessing he’s no closer to a resolution then.

Also shows a sense of humour and that he feels part of the team despite the challenges.

But that can't be right as Schopp told us there was no visa or work permit issues.....

    https://the72.co.uk/246304/further-...-duo-leya-iseka-and-oulare-await-club-debuts/

Doug O Kane has since deleted the tweet of Schopp saying that if you click on the date of the tweet within the link. I feel sorry for the guys. The club should have been up front from the start that it was work permit issues. Instead the players are ready to play but got stick for not being deemed fit enough to play based on what Schopp said.

If Aaron had been transferred to a team like Man City or Spurs then you could guarantee he would be playing now.

It would be useful to get some clarity around exactly what the issue is here.

As I understand it the process is that the player is assessed against a number of criteria to see whether they add sufficient value (eg. International appearances, appearances in high level competitions etc.). If they do then they get 'governing body endorsement' which entitles them to a work visa, if they don't then there's scope for appeal.

I guess then the Home Office has to take that governing body endorsement and issue a work visa - which will involve lots of other standard immigration and id checks.

So it would be good to actually understand is the issue
    A) We've not got GBE for the players and are appealing
    Or
    B) We've got it but there's some additional hold up from the home office

You'd hope that it's the latter because if we've signed players before being confident they fit the criteria it's a bit negligent (but also I assumed that getting this through was the original delay on the Oulare transfer)

If it's the latter then someone needs to pull their finger out to hurry it along.

I don't think he'd get in ahead of de Bruyne, mate :)

That’s a pretty good tweet to be fair!

Based on absolutely nothing, I am incredibly optimistic that he’ll be a cracking player for us. Hopefully we’ll get to find out for ourselves soon enough.

Maybe the guy processing the visa application is a Wigan fan?

Hopefully he's keeping fit and it will be just a matter of match sharpness to contend with when/if he's available

I don't really want to make comparisons but the 2 Belgians apparently have a place to go to, a job waiting for them, contracts signed, etc etc. but aren't allowed to even train with their new teams, for whatever reason, if that is to be believed.
I hope the poor Afghans coming to our country don't have to go through this process. They've probably got nothing, nowhere to go, not much hope right now apart from escape. I hope they are dealt with more smoothly and quickly than our two boys.
    You know what I'm implying.

This might be a silly question but what happens if this isnt resolved by next Tuedsay - Transfer Deadline day would they be allowed to play for us if the visa comes through in Early September or do we have to wait until January - does anyone know
also what happens if a visa is refused is the transfer voided or are we stuck with 2 players we cant employ in this country
