We let them play their own game, no tempo to ours until last 20 minutes but every time we got going the referee allowed them to stop the game. We got what we deserved but that is one of the most inept refereeing performances I've seen. He allowed them to cheat their way through the game.
Can’t fault the sense of humour of whoever decided to play ‘One Day Like This’ by Elbow at the end of the match though.

I thought we played well last 25 mins but it was a crap game. Don't think Wigan played particularly well we were just awful.
What they did do very well was play 2 pacy wide men which forced our wing backs to retreat. That virtually eliminated any attacking threat.
Exactly this. I said to my lad that we needed to go to a flat back four. When we eventually did we were at least a bit better because their threat diminished. I do wish we had a genuine winger.
