To those that went to Halifax. How did he look yesterday?...coming for crosses, kicking etc..seem well thought of by the goalkeeping coach.
to me he looked good. Can't remember too many crosses but he commanded the area well and saved a good shot or two. kept a 45 minutes clean sheet.
Thought he looked decent. Little to do, but did what he had to very well. Promising based on that one half of football.
Asked my uncle about him last week, who watches Wednesday. He said he was a little surprised that he'd been released. A decent keeper by all accounts who he was hoping would be pushing for a first team place if Kirkland was to leave which is looking likely. He said he would be on low wages and from the reviews he'd read from reserve games, looked very assured in goal. Certainly looks more likely to offer competition to Steele rather than mere backup if Steele was to be injured.
