Yesterdays performance from him i thought was brilliant and i think he should play from start on Tuesday. Anyone else think it?
JCR on the wing? You must be kidding; he's an influential playmaker and must be played down the middle and given as much ball as possible. Yeah right.
Interesting, isn't it. Both JCR and Moore should have to ... earn their places back. I'd stick with the same for Tuesday but I bet Davey won't. It was ALWAYS going to be a completely different game yesterday without JCR at right back/middle/wing/centre back/in goal and for me it worked better without him. I'm a great fan of JCR but yesterday we had to go back to basics and everyone fitted into their place. Please Simon, don't muck it up.
I couldn't agree more!! I also am a fan of JCR, but the way that all the team plays when he's playing where he does (everywhere on the field) is really annoying. Its like the other 9 outfield players are not allowed to play football, they get the ball and immediately look for JCR. We have a good number of midfield players who are comfortable on the ball now (De Silva, Andranik, Colace, Hammill) and can play, and yesterday they were allowed to play. I'm not saying we shouldn't play JCR, but he should have to earn his place again, and he should play as one of the team in a set position (perhaps as Bognanovic and/or Himmil did yesterday) and allowing the other players to play too.
Got to agree. Coming out after the game mine (and many others) comments were how brilliantly the whole midfield played. Then on the Championship earlier, the commentator said the same. We've certainly got strength in there now, and JCR definitely has to earn his place back in there now - how can you drop any of them after such a performance. Things immediately looked worse when Hammill was replaced by Devaney.
Yep. Only think he got subbed yesterday because he seemed to be carrying a minor knock.
Assuming he's fit, keep him in.

Well he said hes not played a full match for 2 month so that could be the reason he was taken off. He also said that he as things to improve on like his free kicks and this his good to hear from him.
I think JCR does have a set position he just doesn't play it!
I reckon that the way young Hammill played yesterday is the way Davey sends JCR out to play. He's talked before about refocusing JCR and I'm pretty sure that's what he was on about.

I don't think that's the case Hammill was playing on the wing yesterday, Davey keeps saying that JCR should be playing in the centre so they can't both be given the same instructions.
He got a knock on his ankle when he got taken out early in the second half. Just about every time he touched the ball after that he was wincing
