Probably my all time favourite player. Just fantastic to watch even in warm ups. So talented.
But above that I’ll never forget how he was with my kids when they were mascots. At that time he was a very young man himself. Just lovely with them.
Hope to see him back at Oakwell.

    This! In a nutshell.

Adam Hammill was probably my last Reds hero. I can't imagine ever feeling such an attachment to a player again. But over the decades there have been hundreds of players I've hero-worshipped. Until now. I just can't feel what my heart doesn't want to feel, there's just no point in getting attached to a player (or manager) as they'll be gone before long. It's not football as I knew it, sadly.

But congratulations and thanks to Adam Hammill for his contribution to Barnsley Football Club.

Never mind a testimonial - Hall of Fame should be a certainty.

@Whitey - get the ball rolling please

Nah, I never pick up on people making grammatical mistakes in personal, informal posts (unless it results in a funny pun or something or it’s genuinely difficult to understand what they mean and clarification is needed). Errors in formal posts that represent professional companies are what get my back up.

The song that was sung about him ... I could never hear the last line properly, so in my mind, until the day I die, it is ....

It might as well be, it sounds just as naff.
