I think thats the exception rather than the norm. The amount of wins we'd naturally get otherwise over a season was very low due to the standard we were playing at. Only other exception being Val's time here.
Has Sir Adam actually said that lol. And as for the quotes I was suggesting earlier, that Conor might say to try and tempt him to stay. I left out the obvious one about money of course. Because this lot either can't or they simply just won't offer that sort of money/wages, to anybody!.
That's a very fair point. It's likely we'll somewhat struggle next season if we go up, but it's certainly not a given.
A player has everything to say. They don't have to sign for another club if they don't want to. Maybe the next Woodrow. ? And offered a new contract. Remember that when some folks were having a fit on here. Saying he would go for peanuts on deadline day.
We'll have to disagree mate. I too watched him and still think he was just 'ok'. He also got progressively worse for us too, although it could be argued he was out of position. I see what youre saying about the impact of other strikers/longevity of other strikers but one or two of those I think were actually better than Woodrow. I also think that a lot of people forget what really good players look like because we have to put up with so much mediocrity or kak. I'm thinking of John Stones, David Hirst, Ashley Ward, Fjortoft (obviously going further back). So, when we have a bloke who scores some goals as Woodrow did indeed do people tend to think they're great players when actually they're not. They're decent players at L1 level. That's all I'm saying really... All about opinions. Regards and may your God go with you. P.s. Yes I know Stones is a defender - I was making a point. P.p.s. I too apologise for hijacking a Phillips thread
He's here He's there He's not gone anywhere Adam Phillips, Adam Phillips Or to Amazing Grace tune Phillo, Phillo, Phillo , Phillo Phillo, Phillo, Phillo Phillo Phillo, Phillo, Phillo Phillo Phillo, Phillo
WE'VE SUPER CAYLAN VICKERS RUNNING DOWN THE RIGHT KEILLOR-DUNN AND DIDZY ARE F***ING DYNAMITE AND WE'VE GOT ADAM PHILLIPS WHO COULD HAVE GONE AWAY HE SAID HE'S F***ING STAYING ON TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ
Meanwhile, Adam's mam and dad, who politely suggested it might be the right time for him to get his own place, are less than impressed with their son's response.
It would be nice to get a personal chant for a player, rather than the usual recycled ones. Liverpool are great at that, like with their Jota chant.
Good call! It should absolutely be sung to that tune. And now I can't stop. Super Adam Phillips sure plays a mean football
