news Reds News Rival Adams rates Ritchie COVENTRY manager Micky Adams today hailed the "fantastic" job done by Andy Ritchie at Barnsley, as the clubs get set to clash at Oakwell. The Sky Blues boss also believes that the Reds' lean run is bound to end and he is putting his players on guard against a Barnsley revival tomorrow. Adams said: "It won't be easy for us. I think Andy has done a fantastic job on a limited budget at Barnsley, just as he did at Oldham, and if he can keep them in this division he will have done really well. "His sides reflect his attitude as a player because he was always a real handful, full of energy and endeavour. "They are on a bad run but eventually that will change and we have to ensure that it doesn't happen against us. "They have got some good individual players - Michael McIndoe is dangerous on the wing - but really they have got where they are through their collective efforts. "They are a good hard-working unit and I respect them for that." Ritchie will hope that bad things do not come in threes. A rollicking after a poor first half against Plymouth helped net a 2-2 draw, but Ritchie felt his team lost the plot entirely at Sunderland six days ago after a reasonable first half as goals in the last 10 minutes sentenced them to a fifth defeat in six matches. Ritchie could be tempted into tinkering with his starting 11. Robbie Williams was left back at Sunderland. Ritchie has the experience of Paul Hecking bottom and may prefer him. Colin Healy has yet to start a league match but has been ever present on the bench. He could be a contender to take over from either central midfield player Sam Togwell or Brian Howard. Striker Daniel Nardiello is eager to play against his home town club but is virtually certain to start on the bench as Ritchie keeps faith in the Paul Hayes-Marc Richards strike partnership.
